Dress Code

A respectable standard of dress is expected both on the course and in the clubhouse.

We do ask that visitors respect our dress code.

ON COURSE

Golfers should be appropriately dressed for golf.  During the summer months men may wear tailored shorts with either plain knee length socks of any single colour or plain white sports socks which must cover the ankle.  Tailored shorts are defined as being made of chino style material with a conventional waistband, including belt loops, and conventional hip pockets (as opposed to cargo or patch pockets).  Tailored shorts should be worn with the hem no more than 4” above or below the knee.

Only approved golfing footwear and headwear may be worn on the course and we ask that shirts are tucked into trousers both on and off the course.  Whilst shirts should be tucked into trousers, trousers may not be tucked into socks unless worn under waterproofs

OFF COURSE

Dress in the Clubhouse is smart casual although a jacket and tie is required for formal meals taken in the Dining Room. Whilst socks must be worn with shorts on the golf course, gentlemen wearing tailored shorts in the bar may wear closed “deck style” shoes without socks in the Clubhouse before 7pm.  Flip flops or open sandals worn without socks are not considered suitable attire for gentlemen in the Clubhouse. Gentlemen wishing to wear sandals are required to wear these with plain white sports socks or single colour long socks as per the golf course.

After 7pm, gentlemen are required to wear long trousers in the Clubhouse although shorts are still permitted on the patio area.  Golf shirts should have a collar although “golf-specific” turtle neck short sleeved shirts are also acceptable. Jacket, collar & tie (or equivalent for ladies) is required if you are eating in the Dining Room.

Smart Casual dress for gents is defined as an open-necked formal shirt (as opposed to a golf/polo shirt), worn with, or without, a jacket.

GENERAL

Neither blue denim jeans nor trainers are permitted on or off the course.
