Tvfc Provider Agreement 2019

  • October 12, 2021

TVFC does not communicate to registered providers who they must see or dictate that they accept Medicaid customers. Providers continue to serve the same population groups they have always served. Except now, by signing up for the CFTV, more children will receive their full set of vaccinations. This benefits everyone by maintaining a higher level of immunity in our community. TVFC automatically covers all vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immune Practices (ACIP) and approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). There are savings in immunization compared to treating diseases for taxpayers. For example, every dollar spent on the DTaP vaccine saves $27.00 in direct and indirect costs. In addition, vaccine contracts are negotiated at the federal level, which guarantees the lowest price and standardized costs. The vaccine is ordered through regional national offices and delivered free of charge to suppliers. A CFTV provider cannot charge for the vaccine, but they may charge a reasonable administrative fee. By signing up for TVFC, legitimate providers can offer countless benefits to your practice families and Texas residents. One of the main benefits is the removal of barriers to vaccination.

For example, you no longer need to transfer an uninsured child to a public health center for vaccination. TVFC eliminates the financial cost of vaccines, eliminating the need to expel clients. The children are then kept in their “medical home”, which is beneficial for both the provider and the client. Families currently paying for vaccination may be eligible for cfTV. A fully immunized society is needed to achieve optimal eradication of vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. With your help, we can achieve these goals that lead to a healthier Texas. Contact the nearest regional health services office or a TVFC consultant. If you are not registered with TVFC, please consider registering. The process is simple: The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) requires all new registrations from TVFC/ASN sites to complete and submit all sections of this form. If you do not complete this return form completely, your order authorizations may be suspended.

Collect the following information before your new registration begins: As part of TVFC, the following groups of children (up to 18 years of age) must receive low-cost vaccines: uninsured or underinsured children, children covered by CHIP, children of Native American or Native American descent, and children on Medicaid.
