Temple is a progressive club and mixes 100 years of history with a modern approach to membership. Lifestyle membership at Temple offers an affordable, flexible, inclusive and family-friendly membership for today's golfer. In addition and for those who enjoy competition golf, many of our weekday and weekend competitions are open to ladies and men.

” We have received so many letters, emails and telephone calls saying how much you enjoyed my 80th birthday lunch that we believe it must have been a good party. We have to say, however, that many of the compliments were misdirected. Apart from our grandchildren for whom Temple can claim no credit, most of the plaudits should be addressed to the Golf Club. As a family, we were most impressed at the facilities and service provided by Temple. Francis and Liam and their staff could not have been more cooperative throughout the planning and the event. They ensured that everything went seamlessly and we are most grateful to them.”
Keith & Margot Whittle and family – June 2019
“Hi Keith, many thanks to the members for letting us play at Temple, especially on a Saturday. It is such a welcoming club and Francis and Patrick were as wonderful as ever!! Penny also turned up to make sure we were OK and was also very helpful. We all enjoyed playing and the course was in fab condition. You couldn’t do anything with the weather I know! Again, many thanks for the use of the course and the help provided by the staff on Saturday.”
Charlie Keenan (Berkshire Ladies 2nd Team Captain) – May 2018
“Please pass my thanks and congratulations to everyone who contributed to the Temple Children’s Xmas party on Saturday. My grandson Ethan had a whale of a time as did the rest of the children as far as I could see. No dramas, no tears, just a group of children (and adults) having a really good time. The format was just right allowing the kids to express themselves without getting carried away. Catering and service, as ever, very good.”
Ken Harris – December 2018
” Dear Keith (and all staff) – can I just say on behalf of BCLGA a very big “Thank You” to yourself and all your staff for a very successful AGM on last night (Wed 15 Jan 2020). The AGM went very well with quite a good turnout despite the weather forecast. The staff at Temple were excellent, attentive and made everyone very welcome. It really is a pleasure to come to Temple Golf Club. Please convey my appreciation to them all.
Irene Gregory (Hon Sec – BCLGA) – January 2020
“As Lynda and I said to you this morning we would like to put on record our gratitude and appreciation for how well we were looked after yesterday. As a member of Temple I am well aware of the professionalism and friendliness of the Temple team, but we were particularly touched by the enthusiasm of Liam and Francis during the planning of our lunch party. On the day the quality of the food, the attention to detail and the friendly help and support of both the kitchen and front of house teams could not have been bettered. All our 50 plus guests were full of compliments.Add to this the location and the great value on offer, we in Temple have something very special to enjoy. Thanks again to everyone.

“Thank you so much for everything at the AGM last Sunday and all Temple does for Archie and Finlay. They were both very chuffed with their amazing crystal trophies. They did not know so it was a lovely surprise. They were over the moon. Send my thanks to everyone and see you hopefully next week at skills in the course. Many thanks Emma”
Emma Smith (Mother of junior members Archie and Finlay Creffield) – November 2017
“Please thank Liam, Francis and their staff for the most excellent Carpe Diem Christmas lunch yesterday. We were very well looked after and the lunch was extremely good value. The starters were particularly appreciated. We all left very satisfied.”
Keith Whittle – December 2018
“The recent SATam Christmas Dinner was an outstanding evening. The food was excellent, both traditional and vegetarian, and the reception and service were as friendly and efficient as ever. On behalf of SATam, please pass my thanks to Liam, Francis and their respective teams.”
Jim McLean (SATam) – December 2018
“Thank you to Temple for hosting the BCLGA Autumn Meeting. Your staff looked after us so well from the minute we arrived, helping to set up and then providing the lovely food for all 63 competitors as they came in. I was absolutely delighted in the number taking part.”
Gillian Myers (BCLGA Joint Competitions Secretary 2) – September 2018
“Apart from the weather (a minor consideration despite the incessant rain which gradually increased towards the end of the round) this was a great day. The course was fantastic and the greens were in great condition despite the rain. The Secretary and all the staff were very accommodating to the point that coffee and biscuits were delivered to the changing room after the round – a welcome sight to 15 bedraggled golfers. The meal and setting was one of the best we have enjoyed and it was unanimously agreed to come again in the summer when good weather could be anticipated!”
