A long and very testing par 4, well worthy of its low stroke index. Many golfers treat this as a par 5, which it is for ladies, and are happy to walk off with a 5 on their card.

Pro's Tip

"A good drive favouring the left-hand side of the fairway will still leave a significant second shot into a long, tricky and well guarded green."

"Apart from the weather (a minor consideration despite the incessant rain which gradually increased towards the end of the round) this was a great day. The course was fantastic and the greens were in great condition despite the rain. The Secretary and all the staff were very accommodating to the point that coffee and biscuits were delivered to the changing room after the round – a welcome sight to 15 bedraggled golfers. The meal and setting was one of the best we have enjoyed and it was unanimously agreed to come again in the summer when good weather could be anticipated!”
