Take care not to be fooled by this relatively short par 3 which requires a particularly deft tee shot to find and hold the raised putting surface. As the green itself is raised, a ball landing short of the green is not guaranteed likely to run up onto the putting surface which is heavily guarded by bunkers, and slopes down from front to back.

Pro's Tip

"Not too much of the raised green is visible from the tee and a choice has to be made between running your tee shot onto the green via the slope in front, or carrying the entire distance between tee and green."

"Apart from the weather (a minor consideration despite the incessant rain which gradually increased towards the end of the round) this was a great day. The course was fantastic and the greens were in great condition despite the rain. The Secretary and all the staff were very accommodating to the point that coffee and biscuits were delivered to the changing room after the round – a welcome sight to 15 bedraggled golfers. The meal and setting was one of the best we have enjoyed and it was unanimously agreed to come again in the summer when good weather could be anticipated!”
